A MESSAGE TO OUR MEMBERS

Dear Members,

 

Firstly, I want to thank you for your continued support and patience. You, our Members, have been remarkable with your support for our club and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic dating back to March 2020, with multiple enforced closures and mandatory measures including social distancing and masks inside our venue.

 

By now you will have heard that the NSW Government has extended the current lockdown by a further 2 weeks to Friday 30 July. This is incredibly disappointing but necessary. It’s a trying time for many of our Members who, like our staff, are dealing with being stood down from employment, schooling from home, health concerns, and the day-to-day pressures of lockdown.

 

I would like to reassure Members, particularly those whose Membership has recently expired or is due to expire during the current lockdown, that our Board of Directors this week ratified the complimentary extension of all Memberships on account of the club closure. We will provide further information when there’s clarity on the reopening date of our club.

 

The current lockdown has directly impacted the wider Group, with easts, Berkeley Sports Club and Kingswood Sports Club closed, and our Sydney Roosters players and support staff relocating to the Sunshine Coast to ensure the NRL competition continues.

 

Finally, the health and wellbeing of you and your family must be the focus of all Members. We urge you to continue to follow the Government’s advice and with some luck and good management, we’ll be reopening the doors to Members very soon.
