EASTS GROUP EMBRACES OPPORTUNITY TO MAKEOVER BONDI SURF CLUB

The Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club got an autumn spruce-up when Easts Group staff, including Sydney Roosters players, partnered with Mirvac employees for a day of giving back as part of Mirvac’s annual ‘National Community Day’.

Sydney Roosters players Ronald Volkman, Taku Hau Tapuha, Ben Thomas and Vuate Karawalevu joined Easts Group staff Cain Price, Samantha Barrett and Sarah Hallam to clean out the surf club, mend Nippers’ boards and do a spot of painting.

Easts Group CEO Joe Kelly said Sydney Roosters players and staff embraced the opportunity to assist Mirvac on its National Community Day.

‘Making a contribution to the local community gives our players and staff a lot of satisfaction and we’re delighted to be part of such a great initiative,’ said Mr Kelly.

‘The Roosters, Easts Group and Mirvac all have strong roots in the Eastern Suburbs and this is a collaborative effort that will make a difference within our community. It was fantastic to be able to contribute to a makeover of such an iconic landmark in our heartland.’
