Easts Together – April 2024 Highlights

The Easts Group and Sydney Roosters have participated in several community activations across April, with highlights below:

  • On 3rd April, we supported St Vinnies to launch their 19th CEO sleepout. Joe Kelly spoke to the media as he’s participating, and raising funds here.
  • On Sunday 7th April we hosted fifteen volunteers at Easts and provided them with their L1 Sports Trainer Accreditation to assist with Junior League throughout this coming footy season.
  • On 9th April we supported Jewish House’s annual golf day fundraising event, both in presence and with prizes. Jarrod Johnstone (COO Sydney Roosters and Anthony Brooks (Group GM Community and Government Relations) spoke on behalf of the Club and congratulated Jewish House on their service to the local community.
  • On the 9th of April ClubsNSW announced its 139 finalists for their 2024 Clubs and Community Awards. Pleasingly, Easts Leagues are a finalist in the Heart of the Community Category for our “Easts Together with the Community” nomination. Winners will be announced at the Clubs & Community Awards Night at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney on 6 June 2024.
  • On 12th April, Isabelle Kelly, Sandon Smith, Egan Butcher, and Anthony Minichello along with staff supported Steggles in visiting Ronald McDonald House at John Hunter, local schools, and the Steggles Beresfield Factory. Over 500 students attended, and feedback was very positive. Pictures attached.
  • On 18th April, Keeley Joseph supported NSW Fire and Rescue in preparation for the upcoming Smoke Alam Action Day. Beyond playing, Keeley also assists firefighters with their post-injury program as a qualified L1 Strength and Conditioning Coach.
